Prescott AZ Homes for SaleIf you’ve been looking for the perfect place to live, then you have come to the right place.  Prescott, Arizona (pronounced "press-kit" like a "biscuit") located in the Northern central portion of the state with an elevation of about a mile high, has got it all!  Even Money Magazine has recently rated Prescott as one of the Top 5 cities to retire!  Certainly not just for the retired, but if ya gotta retire, what a wonderful place to live! In 2006 Money Magazine voted Prescott as one of the "Best Places to Retire" and in 2007 the U.S. News & World Report also reported the same.

I've got a few favorite communities myself, including The Ranch at Prescott where I own a second home. It's a wonderful place to escape to in the hot summer months and just as magical in the winter-time, if you're the kind of person that enjoys 4 seasons:

The climate is enjoyable year round and has relatively mild seasons.  It’s cold in the winter, but not unbearable.  A few beautiful snows blanket the town in the winter, but mostly melts away in a few days.  Spring is glorious (need I say more?), Summer is generally in the 80’s and 90’s with evening temps generally in the 70’s (ahhhhh). And those summer showers cool off a hot day in minutes! Autumn is another glorious time of year here with day time temps in the 60’s and 70’s and evenings in the 50’s...perfect for that outdoor fire!

The town of Prescott has that old time feel of yesteryear, affectionately known as “everybody’s hometown”.   A courthouse plaza where there is always something going on...art fairs, musicians, square dancing… you get the picture.  There are always events and activities throughout the year so you’ll never miss out on the fun.  Christmas time is a magical time to visit the square, decorated with all the trimmings of an old fashioned holiday.  Stroll down Whisky Row which boasts some of the State’s oldest saloons.  The Palace has history that you’ve got to see, even if it is a little touristy, it’s a fun place to visit.
